When I look back at my 18 year old self, finishing high school in Europe and preparing for a career in engineering, and see where I am now, I wonder: who am I to have had this rich experience? What are the chances I would end up here?
Many of us ask ourselves these questions, and sometimes our path in life brings answers we would not have expected. I trained as an electrical engineer and spent 25 successful years in the high tech world, building and running two start-ups and mentoring young students and employees. This career brought me to the US, where I quickly realized that the typical perception of engineers here is that they are “logical,” but reality doesn’t necessarily fit that perception. That is, engineers don’t only follow logic; they are also curious, creative, have an aptitude for learning and are able to dive deeply into things.
For years, I was taught not to trust my intuition and to follow logic. I had always experienced a kind of higher connection, a spiritual calling, but I didn’t know what it was. There is something we are all here to do. That information is available, and what makes the difference is whether, and how, we access it.
As I tried to overcome major personal life challenges, the curiosity of learning and experiencing how energy works on a deeper level led me to study Reiki. Willingness to do that first session, against long standing beliefs I’d held since childhood, really took courage. So did dealing with the aftermath, instead of dismissing it. I finally realized I had to do things my way, based on who I really am. During this spiritual journey I also began to study shamanism in order to guide my own healing process. I learned that I had to develop TRUST in my “own” intuition, and align with it. I believe that when we are aligned with who we are at a soul level, the magic falls into place.
I can now see my journey clearly and appreciate each moment, even the difficult ones. Like a string of pearls, I understand that it all connects. In studying different modalities, I have learned how to hold space for and connect with people to support them on their own healing journeys.
I would consider it a privilege to work with you, and to support you as you live your life joyfully and manifest who you really are.
